EMERGENCY CLOSURE

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Staffordshire County Council being the highway authority responsible for the repair
and maintenance of Main Road in Haunton are satisfied that it is necessary to close to all vehicular traffic that length
of Main Road as it lays outside 2 St Edwards Cottages for a period of 21 days from the date of this Notice because of
the likelihood of danger to the public during leak repair works being undertaken by
Staffordshire County Council.
Access will be available for pedestrians and for vehicles being used in connection with the works and for emergency
services vehicles or for vehicles requiring access to properties on the length of road which is closed.
An alternative route for traffic is available via Haunton Road, Scotland Lane, Main Road, Portway Lane, Wigginton
Road, Comberford Road, Ashby Road, Clifton Road, No Mans Heath Road, Main Street and vice versa.

IT IS ANTICIPATED THAT THE CLOSURE WILL BE IN PLACE BETWEEN 10:00 HOURS ON
2nd June 2026 AND 23:59 HOURS ON 8th June 2026.
The restriction may if necessary be extended for one further period of up to 21 days by the publication of a second
Notice.
