Edingale Village gearing up for bumper Village Show
Excitement is building in and around Edingale as villagers get ready for the Edingale Show on Saturday 5th September 2026. Whether they are seasoned bakers, first-time flower growers, new to needlework or familiar with photography, there are lots of show classes to enter and fun to be had.
A great day out for all the family. There is live entertainment from local band The Wake Mason Duo and a fun Dog Show. Visitors can browse the many craft stalls and there will be a children’s area with vintage games. The show usually has a good turnout of vintage and classic cars and tractors. Food options will include a BBQ and a well-stocked bar.
Our guests include Everyone Health mobile health van; come and get your free NHS check. They will be accompanied by Slimming World. The staff of Mary Howard School will be running a “mini-Olympics” and the children from the school will be singing and dancing.
Tickets can be purchased for our exciting prize raffle which will be drawn at 5.00pm. Thanks to local organisations and individuals who have donated prizes which include: The White Lion at Harlaston, Fisherwick Microlight school, Red Carpet Cinema, Statfold Country Park, Rosliston Fish Bar and the Women’s Institute.
The heart of the show is, of course, the competitive element with 40 classes for everything from the longest runner bean to crafts and baking to children’s posters. Anyone can enter and entries must be delivered to the Village Hall on Friday 4th September between 4.00pm and 7.00pm. Trophies and certificates will be awarded at 2.00pm on show day and will be presented by Rev Nicky Busby and Rev John Grice.
Entry to the show on Saturday is £3.50 for adults with under 18s free.
