Chetwynd Bridge latest information and request for support
Staffordshire County Council are working with their contractors Amey on developing a design for a new Chetwynd bridge on the A513 (Croxall Road) over the River Tame. The new bridge will be located very close to the existing one as shown on the attached plan.
The existing bridge will be retained and used as a pedestrian bridge offering a safe route between Croxall Lakes and the National Memorial Arboretum.
To secure planning permission and central government funding for the new road bridge the County Council needs the help of the public. Any residents who wish to support this project are invited to complete and send the attached letter. Obviously this would benefit the area by removing the current weight and width restrictions from this part of the A513, which is a vital route for everyone in Edingale and the area to reach local services at Alrewas, for transport to the High School, and for travel to Burton and Lichfield and beyond.
