Staffordshire Libraries during lockdown
Telephone Reading Friends. Staffordshire Library and Arts Service have been working alongside The Reading Agency to launch a Telephone Reading Friends service for members of our Staffordshire community who are finding it difficult to visit a library. Telephone Reading Friends offers a series of four chats, once a week, on the theme of books and reading and is very flexible to account for all tastes and flavours! Telephone IT Support. If you need some basic IT support a telephone call from one of our staff, volunteers or one of our partners in adult community learning might be able to help you out. Telephone IT support – Staffordshire County Council
Currently libraries are offering a doorstep service whereby library members can either order books in advance using our “order and collect” service or they can ask for a selection of books in a “grab and go” bag. It is also possible to book a one hour session on a computer at Tamworth Library – this should be booked in advance.
Book selections can be ordered by contacting the library or by visiting the Staffordshire Libraries website: Order and collect library service – Staffordshire County Council
It is possible to join the library online: Self Registration – Staffordshire County Council
